• The results of the survey carried out by the Sociological Group Rating revealed that 85% of respondents consider themselves patriots of their country, 12% share the opposing opinion. The number of the patriotic citizens is approximately the same in all regions of the country, and is relatively higher among senior respondents.
• 69% of the polled reveal a positive attitude towards the establishment of the national holiday of Defenders’ Day of Ukraine on October 14, 23% are neutral, and only 5% - negative. This holiday is best perceived by the residents of the West and Center. About 60% of respondents in the East and South are positive towards the holiday, one-third are neutral, and only 6-7% - negative.
• 59% of respondents expressed readiness to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine with weapons in their hands in case of a threat (in 2019 - 56% of such respondents, in 2017% - 54%, in 2012 - 33%). Relatively higher number of them was recirded among men, middle-aged respondents, and those with relatively higher income.
Audience: residents of Ukraine aged 18 and older in all oblasts, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender, and settlement type. Total sample: 2000 respondents. Survey method: CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviews).
