•    According to the results of the survey carried out by the Sociological Group Rating on December 16-20, 2020, 18% of respondents think Ukraine is heading in the right direction; at the same time, the majority (71%) shares the opposing opinion.
•    Over 70% of the polled think the economic situation in Ukraine has worsened over the last six months. 17% have not seen any changes, and only 7% have noticed improvement. 56% of respondents said the economic situation of their households had deteriorated. 37% believe that nothing has changed; only 7% said the situation had improved. Future expectations are not very optimistic as well: only 16% believe the economic situation in Ukraine will improve in the next six months, 32% think it will not change, and 47% expect deterioration.
•    Emotions of disappointment (42%) and hope (32%) predominate among the population.
•    Corruption, the war in Donbas, economic crisis, authorities’ incompetence, and coronavirus epidemic were named as the key national level problems. Meanwhile, at the personal level, the listed problems were compounded by the low healthcare quality; the economic crisis problem is already leading the "rating of problems".
•    In general, the majority of respondents think the main reason for the probable economic crisis is the authorities’ incompetence (63%), although a quarter believes that the economic decline will occur due to the coronavirus. 9% think the cause is the war in Donbas. At the same time, the number of those who think the situation in the economy has been caused by the authorities’ incompetence has increased from 53% to 63% over the last six months.
•    32% are satisfied with the activities of President V.Zelenskyy, and 65% are dissatisfied. 30% are satisfied with the performance of the Verkhovna Rada Head D.Razumkov, 51% are dissatisfied, 19% failed to assess. 16% approve the performance of Prime Minister, 65% disapprove it, and 18% could not assess his activities. Respondents are least satisfied with the performance of the Government and the Verkhovna Rada - almost 80% have provided negative assessments, and only about 12% - positive ones.
•    According to 46% of respondents, desire for change is the point they admire the most about the new government; 17% named integrity, 13% - autonomy from the oligarchs. Assessing the traits they did not like, respondents were more specific: 40% named incompetence, 36% - dependence on oligarchs, 28% (each) - corruption and chaos, 14% - inefficiency. At the same time, over the last six months, assessments of inefficiency have decreased, while those of incompetence, corruption, and chaos have increased.
•    Respondents rather don’t support the idea of the President's resignation and calling early presidential elections (58% vs. 39%). On the other hand, the idea of dissolving Parliament and calling early re-elections is rather of support (58%) than not (39%). The initiative of the Government's resignation is supported by 60% of respondents, while 35% do not support it.
•    The rating of trust among national politicians is headed by President Zelenskyy: 41% trust him, 56% do not.
•    30% of respondents trust V.Klytschko, while 58% do not trust him. V.Hroysman is trusted by 29%, distrusted by 61%; D.Razumkov - 27% and 30% respectively (27% - do not know him), Y.Tymoshenko - 25% and 73%, Y.Boyko - 24% and 55% (17% - do not know him), P.Poroshenko - 23% and 74%, V. Medvedchuk - 19% and 66% (12% - do not know him). Current Prime Minister D.Shmyhal is trusted by 16%, a quarter do not know him and more than half do not trust.
•    President Zelenskyy (-15%) and Parliament Speaker Razumkov (-13%) demonstrate the best balance of trust / distrust; the balance of V.Klytschko is -28%, Y.Boyko – -31%, V.Hroysman – -32%, D.Shmyhal – -38%. The worst indicators are showed by V.Rabynovych (-46%), V.Medvedchuk (-47%), Y.Tymoshenko (-48%), and P.Poroshenko (-51%).
•    Presidential rating is headed by V.Zelenskyy. If the elections were held in the nearest future, 26.5% of those who intend to vote and have decided on the choice are ready to support him. 14.3% would vote for P.Poroshenko, 10.1% - for Y.Boyko, and 9.8% - for Y.Tymoshenko. V.Medvedchuk - 7.7%, V.Hroysman - 6.4%, I.Smeshko - 6.0%, D.Razumkov - 4.1%, O.Lyashko - 3.6%. The rating of other candidates does not exceed 3%.
•    The leader of the parliamentary rating is “Sluha Narodu” party - 21.1% of those who intend to vote and have decided on the choice are ready to support it. 17.3% are ready to vote for “Opposition Platform – Za Zhyttia”, 15.2% - “European Solidarity”, 10.9% - “Batkivshchyna”. 4.8% (each) would support “Radical Party” and "Ukrainian Strategy of Hroysman", 4.3% - “Za Maybutnye", 3.8% - “Syla i Chest”, 3.5% - “Holos”, 3.4% (each) – “Shariy Party” and “Svoboda”, 3.3% - “UDAR” of Vitaliy Klytschko. The rating of other political forces is less than 2%.

Audience: residents of Ukraine aged 18 and older in all oblasts, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender, and settlement type. Total sample: 2000 respondents. Personal formalized interview (face-to-face). The margin of error does not exceed 2.2%. Period of the survey: 16-20 December, 2020.
