Отдельные аспекты 8 марта: женщины VS мужчины

Certain aspects of the 8th of March: women VS men

Date posted: 06.03.2012 Print Full version

According to the research conducted by the Sociological group "Rating", the absolute majority of respondents do not support (91%) the idea to cancel the holiday of the 8th of March. Only 5% support this idea. Other 4% have not decided on this issue.

86% will celebrate the 8th of March this year, 14% - will not. Elderly people and pensioners (72%), residents of the Western Ukraine (74%), supporters of Freedom (74%), rural residents (81%) intend to celebrate the 8th of March least of all.

The eternal question, whom men should congratulate first on the 8th of March, received the following answers. According to 42% of women and 52% of men, men should congratulate their wives or beloved women first of all on the 8th of March. However, according to 36% of women and 32% of men, it is necessary to congratulate mothers first, about 2% - mothers-in-law.

At the same time, 18% of women and 12% of men believe it does not matter whom men should congratulate first on the 8th of March.

Thus, there are more men who would like to congratulate their wives first, than women who seek the same. Therefore, we can assume that wives put mothers first in the "hierarchy of women" more often than men, who are often blamed for this.

The tradition of congratulating mothers first is more characteristic for cities, residents of the North and young people, and the tradition of congratulating wives or beloved women first – for residents of the Centre and the West, middle-aged people.

According to 46% of women and 41% of men, men have to cook breakfast on the 8th of March. A quarter of men and women believe that a man and a woman have to prepare a festive breakfast together.

However, for almost 20% of women and men it does not matter who will cook breakfast on the 8th of March, while 9% of women and 13% of men believe that a woman should cook breakfast.

36% of men and only 23% of women believe that making love on the 8th of March is a necessary attribute of the holiday.

At the same time, for 41% of women and only for 31% of men making love on the 8th of March is not a necessary attribute of the holiday. At least one third of respondents have not decided on this issue.

Thus, another research of the Sociological group "Rating" confirmed the fact that sex is more important for Ukrainian men than for women, especially on the 8th of March! :))

Sex was often mentioned as a necessary attribute on the 8th of March by respondents aged 30-39 years (40%), 16-29 years (38%) and 40-49 years (30%).

Supporters of Freedom and UDAR stood up for "obligatory sex" on the 8th of March more often than others, probably because there are many men and young people among supporters of these parties. Least of all the idea was supported by the voters of the CPU, the Party of Regions, the People's Party and Batkivshchyna, as well as by the "against all" and "undecided" categories.

The average amount women expect to receive as a gift on the 8th of March is 182 UAH. The maximal amount that women mentioned is 4000 UAH.

At the same time, the average amount men expect to spend on gifts for their beloved women is about 290 UAH, it is almost a half times more than women expect. The maximal amount men mentioned is 8000 USD.

21% of women believe that their men will not buy anything on this holiday. However, only 9% of men admitted that they do not plan to buy anything.

Nearly a quarter of questioned women and men did not answer the question.

Thus, either women think badly about their men and their expectations are too low, or vice versa - men are ready to surprise their women and grow in their eyes. Also we can not reject the version that not all men’s gifts find “addressees" that expect them. :))

In any case, the research confirmed that men are ready for the holiday! And it makes us happy! Maybe women should be better prepared for it too, because men also have their expectations (see above). And then the number of unexpected "addressees" will decrease and the deputies will not have to worry about low birth rate, and the holiday of the 8th of March will be a celebration of total victory of love and spring for everybody, and then each woman will receive an unexpected but a desired gift!

Dear, beloved and desired, congratulations to you!!!
