• Results of the survey carried out by the Sociological Group Rating on September 17-23, 2020 among the residents of Kherson, revealed that respondents are equally pessimistic about the situation in the city and in Ukraine. Thus, only 9% believe the things in the city are going in the right direction, 77% think the opposite. With regard to Ukraine, only 12% think the direction of the country’s development is right, 73% share the opposing opinion.
• 58% said they would definitely vote in the local elections. 19% of respondents do not intend to vote. Relatively higher level of electoral mobilization was observed among women, older respondents, and those with lower income.
• Ihor Kolykhayev is the leader among mayoral candidates: 31.2% of those who intend to vote and have decided would support him. 23.2% are ready to support Volodymyr Saldo, 13.4% - Yuriy Kyrylov, 8.6% - Mykhailo Opanashchenko, 5.3% each - Ivan Glukhov and Vasyl Fedin, 3.3% - Mykola Kononenko. Rating of other candidates is lower than 3 %. About 13% of respondents have not decided who to vote for.
• Simulation of the second round of mayoral elections revealed that in case I.Kolykhayev and V.Saldo have entered the second round, the leader of the party "Nam tut zhyty! " would win with a result of 57% against 34% (among those who intend to vote). Within a pair with Y.Kyrylov, I.Kolykhayev would win with the result 59% against 25%.
